CanMyPet's mission is simple: give a clear, honest verdict in seconds — Yes, In moderation or Never — with the reason why and what to do next.
How we keep it accurate
Pet nutrition and toxicity is health information, and we treat it that way. Every food verdict on CanMyPet is written and reviewed by the CanMyPet Editorial Team against established, authoritative sources, and we show those sources on every page. When the science is uncertain, we say so and err on the side of caution.
- We follow toxicity guidance from animal poison control and veterinary bodies.
- We separate verdicts by species, because what's fine for a dog can be risky for a cat.
- We review and update our database as guidance evolves.
- We never diagnose. For anything urgent, we point you straight to your vet.
